Nestled in the hills above Corscombe, Dorset, with a 30 mile view over the valley and surrounding countryside, Linhay lodge is as tranquil, relaxing and far away from the noise of everyday life as you could wish.

Linhay terrace view

Affectionately known as our ‘tree house for grown-ups’, Linhay is one of six lodges, so tucked away from the rest of the world that you may never want to leave. It happens all the time.

7 minutes by car over the hill to the Village of Beaminster (we’ve timed it!) for the all important croissant/paper run on a Sunday morning, or 5 minutes to a local pub for a quiet dinner and drink, you can have as much, or as little, social life as you like, for as long as you decide to stay.

With two double bedrooms, bathroom and an open plan kitchen/living/dining area that leads onto the terrace - and the view - Linhay has been our home away from home for six years, and now it can be yours too.

The stunning Jurassic Coast is only 20 minutes away through rolling countryside to Bridport (now known as Notting Hill on sea) then on to West Bay. Bring your walking boots and your appetite. The bowl of hills surrounding this part of Dorset seems to hold more oxygen than anywhere else, so prepare to be hungry and sleepy at the end of the day.
